Why does Recurr not connect to your bank?
Bank linking is convenient but invasive for subscription tracking. Recurr uses manual add, CSV, and statement import so you keep control of financial accounts. The product stays useful without becoming a third party to your banking relationship.
Bank linking can be convenient, but it also adds a privacy tradeoff that many people do not want for subscription tracking. Recurr is built so you can keep control of your data without giving a third party access to your financial accounts.
What we support instead

- Statement import for lightweight onboarding.
- Tags, projects, and environments for teams and agencies.
That tradeoff is intentional. The app should be useful without becoming invasive. If a feature saves time but weakens trust, we would rather choose the narrower path and make it excellent.
